Defense Intelligence Agency Internship - Summer 2019

DIA’s 2019 Summer Internship Program vacancy announcements – which are listed by Career Field – on www.diajobs.dia.mil will open on Monday, 2 April and will close on Friday, 13 April or when DIA reaches the maximum number of applications, whichever comes first.

Here are some helpful hints in applying for a DIA internships:

1. Learn as much as you can about your craft. Go above and beyond what is
required at school by conducting independent research, reading additional
material, and staying abreast of industry news.

2. Emphasize employment (internships, volunteer, jobs), leadership
experience, projects you worked on related to your major/ Career field,
languages (if applicable), skills, teamwork, regional experience (study
abroad- if applicable). Do well in school. Participate in extracurricular
activities, volunteer, keep hobbies and find ways to gain and demonstrate
leadership skills. Also, maintain excellent grades, and build a portfolio of
your work to take on a future interview.

3. Find a mentor in your community. Ask to job shadow for a day or two. Not
only can you get an close look at what the job entails, but you can also
gain a new reference and have something valuable
