Carter, supporters testify on university deferred maintenance plan

In testimony on Feb. 16, Ted Carter, president of the University of Nebraska system, asked state senators to extend a 30-year partnership to keep university facilities up-to-date, praising a “smart, responsible and action-oriented” legislative proposal that he said would address a long-standing challenge for the campuses while saving valuable taxpayer dollars.
