Dr. Jeffrey P. Gold, president of the University of Nebraska system, will deliver the annual State of the University address at noon Sept. 3 on the second-floor rotunda of the Nebraska State Capitol, 1445 K St.
Gold will highlight areas of progress and extraordinary achievement across the NU system, share impactful work taking place statewide, provide insights on the challenges and opportunities facing NU and higher education nationally, and outline his vision for how the NU system can thrive in the years ahead.
“Our annual State of the University Address is an opportunity to celebrate our accomplishments and look to the future, even as we navigate choppy waters that affect our institution and others across the country,” Gold said. "The University of Nebraska system touches lives across the state, fuels Nebraska’s economy and drives innovation in our state and far beyond. I look forward to recognizing these and other accomplishments as we chart a path for our continued Odyssey to the Extraordinary.”
