Interim Chancellor Katherine S. Ankerson welcomed students, faculty and staff to the new academic year in an Aug. 23 message, reflecting on the University of Nebraska–Lincoln's mission and priorities for the year ahead.

Ankerson highlighted the launch of Our Bold Path Forward, the university’s new three-year strategic framework, and reaffirmed commitments to academic rigor, access and affordability, open inquiry, research, extension and service. She also emphasized the guiding principle, “Every person and every interaction matters,” and encouraged the university community to build on the university’s momentum together.
